Track of former extensive railway system in the works
Coal and Gypsum arrived by rail for most of the life of the works, and some
finished product was dispatched by rail.
The stub of the closed line from Shoreham to Horsham, remained for some years after closure of the
line on 5th March 1966,
finally closing in 1981, ten years before the end of the works in March 1991
