Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre

The Southern Industrial History Centre Trust

The Trust, registered as a charity, was set up largely by a number of our members,
with the aim of establishing a centre for the study, preservation and maintenance
of artifacts and structures of industrial history interest.

The Trust's museum, open to the public since 1979, is situated in disused chalk quarries alongside Amberley Railway Station, West Sussex.
The extensive lime kilns are preserved and major displays of the industries of Southern England are being installed.

The centre provides workshop facilities for site restoration projects and there is a small library for research.
