The remaining Cake press introduced in the 1980's for the semi dry process.
Water was removed by a combination of hydraulic and air pressure.
After an hour the pressure was released and the 'cake' dropped onto the
conveyor belt to the carried to a store,
before being fed into the top of the kiln.
