Both Kilns stretch off into the distance There were 8 support
structures and bearings, the drive band is the larger ring.
The kilns continuously rotated, usually for some six months 24 hours, 7 days
a week, before being stopped,
allowed to cool to a day and then fire bricks would be checked and replaced,
bearings changed etc,
before starting a further 6 months running.
